About Us
PETER MAUNDER, REGISTERED SURVEYORPeter graduated from Otago University in one of the first intakes into the newly opened Survey School.
He has been a Registered Surveyor practising in the Wellington area since 1968. He started working with Seaton Sladden & Pavitt, a well known Survey and Engineering firm in Wellington until it closed its doors in 1985. Peter has continued practice as a Surveyor on his own account ever since. He can provide you with expert advice on any Survey and Resource Management issues and appears as an expert witness when required.
ADRIAN ANDERSON, FIELD ASSISTANT
Adrian is a qualified Communications Engineer and electronics/electrical service technician, but suffered
the fate of redundancy. He can turn his hand to doing/fixing just about anything. Having built a 2 storey
extension to his home he can talk to builders in their own terms and, in a short time working for himself came
to understand the financial constraints facing small businesses. When he is not out in the field assisting our
Surveyors he keeps our supplies of survey marks filled, our equipment and filing systems in good running
order and claims that the gloves he wears are not for OSH purposes but to save his nails for classical
guitar work!
SYLVIA MAUNDER, PRACTICE MANAGER
Sylvia is Peter's wife but only joined the family firm in October 1999. She started working in a land related
discipline as a Search Clerk for a Wellington Law firm. After gaining her Legal Executive's Certificate she
spent some years working in one of the larger Wellington law firms as a conveyancing Legal Executive before
moving on to another firm as its Search and Registration Supervisor. Along her career path Sylvia has also
acquired some computing skills and is an expert in extracting land information from LandOnline. She is also
versed in the District Plan rules and writes our Resource Consent Applications.
MICHAEL KUUS, SURVEYOR
Michael is from South Africa where he practised as a Surveyor in government organisations and was an Examiner in Survey Law. Although qualified as a Surveyor, he also has a background in photogrammetry, cartography, and most recently in Quality Assurance. CATHIE GUILFORD, OFFICE MANAGER
Cathie looks after our typing, our stationery supplies, our accounts and payroll systems (all the things that
technically minded people can't be bothered with and haven't time for, but are essential to the smooth running
of our office). Cathie also provides callers with title and survey data from LandOnline and spends a lot of her
spare time at lawn bowls.
RYAN KISSELL, SURVEY TECHNICIAN
Ryan has joined us from a Survey firm in Greymouth. So, Wellington is a change in lifestyle and a very
